After a career spent mostly dealing with Family Law, Martyn was looking for a way to resolve separation problems more constructively.
The adverse impact on the children of separating and divorcing families was something he was keen to tackle.
Martyn became a Collaborative family lawyer in 2005 as he could see that it was a more constructive and user-friendly system. Round-table meetings between separating or divorcing partners have produced consistently better results for both his clients and their partners.
"If I had a choice, I would do nothing but Collaborative work as it is less stressful for my clients and as a result much more rewarding for me. The feeling I get when I have been able to help a separating couple to have a constructive and friendly relationship after separation is worth the effort I put in to acheive that goal." - Martyn Stacey
