After a career spent mostly dealing with Family Law, Martyn was looking for a way to resolve separation problems more constructively.
The adverse impact on the children of separating and divorcing families was something he was keen to tackle.
"The introduction of no-fault divorce has helped to maintain a better relationship between separating spouses, but they will still need to work hard to make sure that they are able to co-parent their children well to provide a more seamless transition between living together and living apart.
The most profound impact will be on their children - their future education, employment and relationship prospects have all been shown to be adversely affected by living through their parents bad divorce. We owe it to our children to minimise the impact on them of the choices we make about our relationships. I am committed to doing what I can to lessen the impact of relationship breakdown on my clients' children."
